As stated in the title, I will be talking about different types of cameras. I will give a description of the cameras and a picture of each.
First is the contaflex SLR, 35mm leaf-shuttered SLR cameras, produced by Zeiss Ikon in the 1950s and 1960s. The name was first used in 1935 on a 35mmTwin-lens reflex camera, the Contaflex TLR also by Zeiss Ikon, the -flex part in the name referring to integral mirror for the viewfinder.
Next we have the Nikon F, introduced in April 1959, was Nikon's first SLR camera. It was one of the most advanced cameras of its day. Although many of the concepts had already been introduced elsewhere, it was revolutionary in that it was the first to combine them all in one camera.
Next is the Olympus OM-2, a single-lens-reflex film system camera produced by Olympus of Japan. The Olympus OM-2 is an aperture-priority automatic-exposure camera (with full manual operation selected via switch), based on the earlier, successful Olympus OM-1 body. The OM-2 was introduced in 1975,and combined the light, sturdy camera body style of the manual-only OM-1 with a new automatic exposure system.
Lastly we have the Asahiflex. The Asahiflex was a 35mm single-lens reflex camera built by the Asahi Optical Corporation (later to become Pentax). It was the first SLR camera built in Japan.
Asahi Optical introduced its first 35 mm camera in 1952.
